Everything we do should be to support, protect, and improve the welfare and wellbeing of the young person in our care.
Support built around the individual
No two young people are the same. That is why our support packages are designed around each person's unique needs, goals, and circumstances. From the moment a young person moves in, we work with them and with the professionals around them to create a plan that is realistic, empowering, and regularly reviewed.
What our support includes
Named Key Worker
Every young person is assigned a dedicated key worker who provides consistent, trusted support and acts as their primary point of contact throughout their placement.
Personal Support Plan
We develop an individual support plan with each young person, setting out clear goals, agreed actions, and regular review points to track progress.
Education & Employment
We actively support young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities — helping them build the skills and confidence for independent living. Local to our homes are Swindon College and New College offering traditional academia and practical qualifications. We support with registration at the colleges and also support with the interview process, enrolment, purchasing of books and other associated requirements. Furthermore, we also support in purchasing bus passes and provide help for all the necessary educational requirements.
Health & Wellbeing
When a young person is placed in one of our homes, we register them with a GP, an ophthalmologist and a dental service. We support access to mental health services, and develop healthy routines that promote long-term wellbeing. We also assist them with the rapid immunisation schedule and any other medical appointments needed. We encourage our residents to register with the local gyms and periodically organise activities for them.
Life Skills Development
From budgeting and cooking to managing appointments and understanding tenancy responsibilities, we help young people develop the practical skills they need. Where needed, we help set up bank accounts and assist them with receiving their personal allowance every week. We promote independence in self-care, cleaning as well as other activities inclusive of laundry, shopping and other routine activities.
Family & Community Links
Where appropriate and safe, we support young people to maintain or rebuild family relationships and develop positive connections within their local community. Our young people may come from different countries, different cultures and have different upbringings, but we aim to live together in harmony.
How a placement works
Referral & Assessment
We receive a referral from a local authority or professional and carry out a thorough needs assessment to ensure we can meet the young person's requirements.
Move-In & Settling In
We prepare the home and welcome the young person with a structured settling-in period, introducing them to staff, the property, and local area.
Support Plan Agreed
Within the first two weeks, we co-produce a personal support plan with the young person and their network, setting out goals and how we will work together.
Ongoing Review
Support plans are reviewed regularly — and whenever circumstances change — to ensure the young person continues to receive the right level of support.
